Hello Parents and Prospective Players:
Thank you for your interest in our club and tryouts. Traditional tryouts for the coming 2016-2017 teams will be scheduled based on the needs of the coach for the age group.
If you are interested in Blues Tryouts for one of our teams or would like further information scroll down, please fill out and submit the Player Tryout Form below and your inquiry will be forwarded to the respective coach for the age group who will contact you with further tryout instructions. Please make sure you include the player's date of birth along with any other background information.
Tryout time is a difficult, confusing, and stressful time of the season for all involved. We recommend families gather as much relevant information as possible about their potential club choice during the tryout process so that commitments to the club of choice will be honored. Once the Blues commit to a player we will always honor our commitment and expect players and parents do the same in order to secure the roster spot offered and accepted. After a family gathers all the information, carefully considers their choice, then proceeds to make a commitment to the Blues, we may then have to inform others that they were not chosen; needless to say this is not an enjoyable task. If a committed family then turns around and breaks their commitment not only will we have lost one player but we will have also lost others who would have willingly abided by their commitment and filled our roster spot. Please consider your choices carefully because your decisions affect others.
The Southern California Blues Soccer Club does not accept mid season transfers regardless how talented the player may be. Three exceptions to this are:
- A player moves into the area and travel distance makes it unreasonable for them to play with their old team
- A player's team chooses not to attend ECNL/State, Regional, or National competition
- A player's team disbands during the season and is no longer a viable team
These policies are spelled out in our on line
Club Player Parent Agreement. Once you have committed to a club and if you are considering leaving your current CYSA-South Team to join one of the Blues teams we respectfully ask you to follow through with your commitment to your current team and tryout for next season's Blues team. In addition, we respect a player's current team commitment and therefore we do not want players attending Blues training sessions if those sessions interfere with a player's current training sessions. You can always make arrangements for individual tryouts by contacting the Blues.
