Chris grew up in the small town of Portsmouth, Ohio and graduated from Notre Dame H.S. where he participated in all of the major sports. After attending Columbus Technical Institute in Columbus, Chris moved to California in 1979. He met Jan (his wife for 22 years) while attending a math class at Long Beach City College.

This is Chris' twelfth year coaching youth soccer. His first experience was coaching his daughter in AYSO. From there his daughter was recruited to play for Saddleback S.C., which at time was an all girls club. Naturally Chris followed and was ask to join the coaching staff. He took the team from Bronze to Gold in just three years. Megan finished her career with the Blues and is currently attending Baylor University. I might add that she's enjoying every minute of it.

With a full time job Testing and Balancing Air-conditioning Systems in mid to high rise buildings he still finds time to train four night a week. When he's not coaching or working you can find him on the field either scouting or recruiting for the younger's program.

Chris also finds time to help out in numerous soccer clinics that promote youth soccer in the Saddleback Valley for every level of soccer.
