Besides the sale of our new Parking Permits (left); we are very happy to announce that we have successfully renewed our lease with the leadership of Saddleback Valley Church for 2014-15. Recent meetings at the Saddleback Church headquarters with church leadership and our representatives, Marty Canales - UFC and Dave Mildrew - Blues, resulted in signing our renewed lease to manage all of the soccer fields at Rancho Capistrano, with very favorable conditions. These conditions included no rent increase and no changes that effect our ability to continue into the future at our home fields.
The church leadership, represented by Dave Arnold, Senior Pastor and Janelle Grose, Operations Manager for Rancho Capistrano, praised the work done by our many volunteers, our respective club leadership and all of the players and families of our two clubs. In particular Dave Arnold commented on how well the soccer families respect and support the growing Saddleback church membership that attend church services on the weekend. He appreciates how our parking volunteers, led by Andrea Kelly, Blues and Dee Gonzalez, UFC, work so well at managing the flow of traffic on busy Sundays when both church services and soccer games are going full steam.
The Ranch Partners - 3 members from UFC and 3 members from Blues - have been working hard to maintain and build upon a solid working relationship between the church and soccer and that work has been paying off in terms a much stronger working relationship at all levels.
Additionally, during our recent meeting with Dave Arnold, he supported the concept of the 2 clubs being able to build additional soccer fields in the area south of the current field #6. Both clubs will be entering discussions with the church planning officials to make this a reality in the near future.
We have come a long way in building a solid and fruitful working relationship with Saddleback Church and plan to continue this growth in the years ahead.
Please feel to reach out to us with any questions.
