Shelby Chambers-garcia
Shelby began with the Blues at the U14 level. Mentally Shelby is extremely competitive and a hard worker in both practices and games. Physically she has outstanding size, speed, and strength; she is a Division I athlete who enjoys physical confrontations and is not afraid to sacrifice her body for the ball. Technically Shelby has improved her game so much so that as a 2010 graduate she has been asked to play up on this season's U18 team. Surrounded by experienced technical and tactical players Shelby will continue to grow with respect to her playmaking ability. Shelby mostly plays on the wings and brings offensive punch to her team through her pace and ground coverage. Dangerous striking and serving ability with either foot from distance with power and the capacity to individually create her own chances by breaking individual defenders down. Shelby is willing to put in the time to improve her game, she is a positive team player who gets along well with teammates and adds to harmonious team chemistry.
