Ali Malaekeh is one of the newest members of the Blues coaching staff entering his second season and solidifying their ranks with his professionalism and expertise. He has taken over the responsibilities of coaching the U16 team. He has also been instrumental in developing the College Advisory Program (CAP) as well as the first CAP ID Soccer Camp.
Ali returns for his fifth season as a part of Vanguard's Women Soccer Program, his third year as the Associate Head Coach for the women.
Malaekeh assist in game-day coaching, design and run daily practices, and coordinates the recruiting for the women's program.
Malaekeh's coaching resume includes stints as an assistant coach at University of Louisville and University of Southern Indiana, as well as an extensive club experience in California, Kentucky and IndianaBS. He served on the staff of the Olympic Development Program for Regions II and IV as well as the interim State Director of Coaching in Kentucky.
Malaekeh played collegiate soccer at the University of Southern Indiana, and earned a BS in Communication from USI in 1992. He is currently pursuing his Master in Theological Studies and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He fell in love with soccer when he lived in Milan, Italy as a 7 year old and continued playing in Austria at the American International School of Vienna before moving to the United States to attend college.
